In the world of mass retail, product pollution, fast and unsustainable fashion, we dreamt of a sustainable, slow fashion, boutique brand built on responsibility and respect for the resources and people involved in the lifecycle of our knitwear. In turn, our customers are people who love natural yarns, color and share the same values.
We believe that most of us would think twice about buying cheap clothes if we knew what made that price possible. AmiAmalia is a business built on transparency with regards to its ethical use of resources.
THE DESIGNER
Amalia Săftoiu is the designer & founder of the AMI AMALIA brand, an international brand of sustainable luxury knitwear, with its own knitting factories in Oradea and Deva. After 15 years in international projects, Amalia Săftoiu started this project in 2017, out of a passion for natural yarns and knitwear, longing for Transylvania and the desire to show that "Made in Romania" can represent quality on an international level. In December 2024, Amalia Saftoiu opened in Bucharest the first flagship store AMI AMALIA that embodies real luxury, found at the level of design, and achieved through craftsmanship, finesse, and concrete quality.
