THE DESIGNER

Evelin Antalházi is a student at Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) and an enthusiastic fashion designer.

Currently, she is eagerly preparing to launch her own brand, which places a special emphasis on sustainable fashion. In addition to her dedication and passion for the world of fashion, she has always considered it important to contribute to the preservation of our environment.

She believes that sustainable fashion not only ensures a livable planet for future generations but also provides an opportunity to enrich the fashion industry with new, creative solutions. For her, sustainability means using materials and production processes that have minimal environmental impact while creating stylish and high-quality garments. With the creation of her brand, the designer's goal is to combine her love for fashion with environmental consciousness and inspire her customers to make responsible choices in fashion. She believes that through our collective efforts, we can achieve positive change and build a more sustainable, harmonious world.

THE BRAND

Her brand is built on the use of high-quality materials, with a particular focus on reusing leftover fabrics and cutting waste. She creates garments from these remnants, embodying the concept of high-end remake, minimizing waste, and maximizing material utilization.

The patterns are based on fundamental pieces, which are designed by breaking them down into smaller sections. This approach allows her to use even the smallest leftover materials, reducing waste during the production process. Her goal is to optimize the use of every single piece of fabric.

The designer places great importance on developing collections that are suitable for all four seasons, ensuring that the garments can be worn year-round. Two collections will debut each year, following the rhythm of nature and current fashion trends. In this way, she aims to harmonize fashion and sustainability, offering her customers high-quality, stylish garments that reflect the high-end remake philosophy.

THE COLLECTION

The SS25 collection is designed with versatility in mind, every piece can be mixed and matched with any other. Inspired by the collage artist Monique Baumann, the designer integrated the rose symbol into the collection. She used form-retaining and soft fabrics, incorporating denim and faux leather.

To the designer, the female body is a canvas, and the basic pieces are my her elements. These essentials help create a balance between the creativity of collage and functionality. The design process was guided by three organizational principles: deconstruction, collage, and composition.

She also emphasized the use of waste materials. For this reason, she developed a method what she calls pattern-collage. After cutting the fabric, the designer adhered the resulting waste pieces to the base garment using double-sided fusible adhesive, by rotating and shifting them. In some cases, she used the waste material as a pattern to cut out pieces from a different fabric. This pattern-collage method allows her to incorporate waste materials into the garments in an aesthetically pleasing way.

During the prototyping phase, not everything was finalized. She allowed space for the final garments to naturally develop alongside the primary materials, ensuring that the end result embodies a harmonious blend of artistic expression and sustainability.
