THE DESIGNER
Anett Gyémánt is a graduating student at the Institute of Product Design at Óbuda University, specializing in Industrial Product and Design Engineering. Throughout her studies, she focused on interior textiles and accessory design, which allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge in this field.
Primarily working on object creation, she combines functionality and aesthetics with innovative solutions. She takes pride in the recognition her work received when Econor Design approached her university design group for the design of outdoor and indoor furniture. Her seating furniture designs were selected for production, which is both a great honor and motivation for her future work.
She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to express her creativity in the fashion field as well, thanks to her specialization. In her designs, she strives for sustainability, making the Korond 2.0 project a perfect opportunity to merge tradition with innovation.
THE COLLECTION
Within a school project she created a resort collection utilizing and reinterpreting the motifs of Korond folk art. The project included pattern design, collection design, and the creation of two selected outfits chosen by the project supervisors. The completed collection was ultimately showcased at a fashion show organized by the department, where the designer students played a significant role in the event's execution.
In designing the garments, she aimed to stay true to traditions while creating a fashionable and youthful reinterpretation. At the same time, she considered the preferences of the other designers in the collection to ensure her clothing pieces harmonized in color and style with the rest of the collection.
