THE COLLECTION
The collection was created based on the study and research of primary sources of traditional clothing from various ethnographic regions of Ukraine. It involves the interpretation, reimagining, and refinement of cuts, adornments, embroidery techniques, and decorations. This collection was born from a deep desire to convey all the beauty, richness, wisdom, and skill of our tireless women, whose craftsmanship can stand alongside the works of world art.
The term "rooting" carries the meaning of "growing into the ground," "taking root," "becoming established," or "rooted" – something that endures over time. Rooting is a movement, a process that gives life. Thus, what is deeply rooted and well-established becomes the foundation for shaping our spirituality, values, worldview, and identity. This foundation, which roots us in the past, becomes the driving force and concept of the new collection.
By using modern materials, methods, and processing techniques, we design something new without losing the spirit, significance, and sense of belonging. It is important to create an image that carries the memory of generations, is recognizably Ukrainian, yet contemporary at the same time. Skillfully combining fashion trends with the richness of traditional attire, we aim to uncover and convey all its subtleties.
