THE DESIGNER
Medeea Ene (b. 1996) lives and works in Bucharest, Romania. In 2019, she graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest. She works in the field of fashion and, since 2020, has launched her own eponymous brand.
Her creations explore a feminine yet subversive discourse, where design elements intertwine with artistic messages. Pattern deconstruction, masculinity, and the realm of sensuality are all integrated into her work, which is presented to the public in two seasonal collections each year. In 2022, she received the Best Young Designer debut award at the Elle Style Awards.
THE BRAND
Founded in 2020 by designer Medeea Ene, the Romanian brand MEDEEA offers a sartorial vision that oscillates between refinement and deconstruction, between strength and fragility. Marked by a self-aware and unconventional femininity, MEDEEA explores the boundaries of identity—both of the body and of clothing—through a visual language that is direct, poetic, and provocative.
MEDEEA’s creations are built on the principle of aesthetic tension: natural fabrics such as cotton, silk, and wool are juxtaposed with industrial, metallic, or technical elements; architectural, rigid shapes contrast with fluid volumes and sensual cuts; masculine tailoring is intertwined with hyper-feminine accents. The result is a recognizable silhouette—androgyne, layered, dynamic—expressing a vestimentary identity in constant negotiation.
Each MEDEEA collection is a visual meditation on social, political, or intimate tensions, transformed into statements of style. The pieces are produced in limited editions, with a focus on sustainability, durability, and conceptual relevance.

For the Spring-Summer 2026 season, the MEDEEA brand presents a collection that continues to explore the boundaries of identity and style through a contemporary and radically feminine vision. Masculine wardrobe deconstructions are reimagined in a sensual and deliberate language, where elements of hyper-femininity—draping, cut-outs, and transparency—destabilize the classic structure of masculine tailoring.
Natural fibers—cotton, silk, and wool—are juxtaposed with metallic inserts, industrial details, and fluid textures that wrap the body like a soft armor. The tension between fragility and strength becomes the central visual voice of the collection, enhanced by a restrained yet powerfully expressive color palette.
MEDEEA SS26 is a reflection on the unstable balance between control and vulnerability, between rigidity and seduction, inviting a reimagining of femininity as a form of poetic power.
