THE SHOW
The MOME Fashion Show is back on 4 September, bringing the latest generation of textile and fashion design talents into the spotlight. The show invites both industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts to discover the latest creations by the next generation of designers on the Zugligeti Road Campus runway. Showcasing over one hundred looks, this year’s event presents more works than ever before, exploring the intersection of contemporary art and design. These autonomous visions use fashion as a medium to respond to current issues and tell deeply personal stories.
Aligned with the rhythm of international and local fashion weeks — including the timing of Budapest Central European Fashion Week — the MOME Fashion Show will take place in early autumn this year, strengthening the international presence of recent graduates and young designers in the region, while offering opportunities for professional networking and dialogue. The runway show, the related exhibition, and the symposium together mark one of the opening event highlights of the 2025 autumn semester.
THE COLLECTIONS
The fashion show and exhibition come to life under the curatorship of acclaimed fashion professionals Head of the MA programme Ildikó Kele and educator Dóri Tomcsányi, both of whom have been successfully building their own brands for many years, in collaboration with Head of the BA programme Annamária Simándi-Kövér, assistant lecturer Csenge Vass, and members of the faculty. The students have created distinctive design universes, with this year’s BA collections revolving around the concept of the 'island', and the MA works woven from deeply personal threads.
MOME’s Textile Design programme and its predecessor have been training outstanding professionals for nearly 110 years, many of whom receive international accolades even while at university and go on to become sought-after designers. Our alumni include acclaimed textile and fashion industry professionals such as Noémi Ferenczy, Barbara Léber, Bori Tóth, Anikó Manier Németh, Dóra Konsánszky, Réka Vágó, Emília Anda, András Tóth, Attila Godena-Juhász and Eszter Füzes, Dalma Dévényi, Tibor Kiss and the list goes on. After graduation, students join major global labels including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chloé, Balenciaga, Vetements, Acne Studios, Proenza Schooler, Marc Cain, Adidas, Nike, Burton or North Face, as well as Hungarian fashion brands such as Nanushka, Aeron, Nubu, Tomcsányi or The Four.
