THE BRAND
NANICHE is an independent fashion label based in Prague with the creative guidance of a young designer Natalie Dufková whose work is characterized by expressive work with materials, unexpected combinations and a view of clothing as such.
NANICHE is intended for a clientele that is demanding - tastes not gulps, does not revel but invests.
As opulent as some of the clothes may seem, they are sustainable, subject to up-cycling, emphasizing the stability and locality of materials and the quality of workmanship.
THE COLLECTION
In the latest collection INSPIRALITY 2024/25 designer Natalie Dufková was inspired mainly by the work of glass artist Vladimíra Klumpar. Parallels of glass sculptures in the form of asymmetrical spirals and vibrant colours changing with different light intensities permeate the individual models. Silky fabrics such as chiffon, taffeta, organza or crinkled materials are meant to evoke the lightness, subtlety and individual forms thatnworking with glass entails. Glass itself also appears in the collection; handbag handles and bracelets and necklaces in frosted and polished glass were created in the Klumpar & Pavlik studio in collaboration with designer Vasco Novosad. The individual models are accentuated with rings, earrings and silver-plated clasps made by the hands of jewellery designer Magdalena Št’astníková, who created a bespoke collection.
