THE DESIGNER
Stepan Mares creates fashion under the Princ z Moravy brand. The designer graduated with a master’s degree from UMPRUM in Prague, where the focus was on fashion design. Currently, the designer is creating custom garments and curating fashion shows that blend narrative, craftsmanship, and visual drama.
Most ideas come from fashion illustration, which remains a key source of inspiration. The designer primarily focuses on menswear but has recently expanded into womenswear. The work is characterized by a bold and expressive aesthetic—both the designs and the designer can be described as glamorous, maximalist, and dramatic.
THE BRAND
In the designer’s work, the primary focus is on men’s fashion—specifically for men who love men. Each year, the designer creates two couture collections that evolve into custom-made garments designed for the target audience: men who seek a sense of luxury, exclusivity, and bold self-expression. Inspiration comes mostly from the designer’s own fashion drawings and illustrations, through which a unique visual world and set of characters are constructed and later brought to life in fabric and form.
The designs are intended for evening occasions—social parties, red carpets, and balls. The wearer is meant to transform into the ideal version of themselves: confident, seen, and unapologetically expressive.
Recently, the designer has also begun exploring womenswear, approaching it with a more sensual and dramatic aesthetic. These pieces are created for women who are unafraid to express their power, dominance, and inner desires through fashion.
THE COLLECTION
A women's and men's collection called Season of Glamour. Imagine clothing as a mask that allows you to transform yourself with glitter and shine into someone who is not afraid to reveal your hidden self and deepest desires - a personality that can charm everyone in the room with the elegance and sensuality of the clothing alone.
The collection consists of evening gowns complete with gloves, eye nets and top hats. Taft fabric provides the structure of the dress, which contrasts with the delicate translucency of the tulle that clings to the wearer's body. There is also a combination of heavy velvet tailcoat and tuxedo.
Clothing here serves as a transformation - at least for one night we can become someone completely different from what we are used to, revealing new sides of our personality and perspective on our surroundings. We can step into our own fantasy and create magical stories.
