THE BRAND
PETRA KOVACS is a Bratislava, Slovakia-based fashion designer, an Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava graduate. She established her fashion brand, PETRA KOVACS, during her studies at Academy in 2016.
In her collections, she fights for rights and points to important topics through her fashion creations, which are always preceded by research, the most important thing for her works. Self-irony and a certain satire give PETRA KOVACS´s work a special style and handwriting. Every time tells a new story, from a romantic point of view with a large dose of a joke and a drop of bitterness, that every romance always brings with itself.
In 2021 she premiered her fashion film debut „Lobster Party“ at London Fashion Week and at Budapest Central European Fashion Week. Lobster Party was featured at Canada´s Yes! Let´s Make a Movie Festival in 2022 and was selected for Reykjavik Feminist Film Festival in 2023.
