THE BRAND
THEFOUR stands for Thoughtful + Effortless + Outspoken + Rebel in the expanding universe of clothing design.
The Budapest-based independent conceptual streetwear brand’s two designers, Anett and Marton come from different backgrounds but have a multicultural vision. A THEFOUR creation, being a sartorial reflection on today’s perplexing reality, always carries empowering visual messages – while smart cuts and neat shapes keep the sophisticated pieces of the label easily adaptable.
THE DESIGNERS
“We have always believed that creating designs requires an ideological underpinning. The reason for this is that the objects that surround a person exercise an impact on them, and thus they can act as vessels of messages. Our goal is to make THEFOUR pieces a means to attribute strength, confidence and a feeling of security to their wearer.”
Anett and Marci - partners-in-crime since their university years - are the designers behind THEFOUR, a Budapest-based womenswear label.
While they have a shared devotion to creation, they could not be more different regarding their personalities, and their attitude towards design.
- For Marci, getting dressed is a fun way of self-expression, Anett sees it as a problem to solve.
- In-person Anett has a more careless, easy-going attitude, while Marci is very polite and social.
- When they design Marci is the risk-taker and Anett tends to be the moderate one.
- Anett focuses on the shapes, in the meantime, Marci puts his attention into the details.
The pair, through a continuous dialogue, constructively channels their clashing energies into reaching one shared goal: designing clothing for maverick women.
