I. AW2425 APPLICATION DATES:

Notification of the selected brands: starting from 10th December 2023

II. APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1

Brands submit their application via the application forms below.

Please submit your application via the ‘Apply as Brand’ form if you would like to participate in on of the following categories:

• CATWALK
• NEW GENERATION COLLECTIVE SHOW
• SELF-ORGANISED SHOW
• BCEFW SHOWCASE

Step 2

The Advisory Board evaluates the applications and assigns the selected brands a suitable showcase category (see the list of categories at section 3).

Step 3

The selected brands are informed about their assigned category by 15th December 2023.

III. CATEGORIES

• CATWALK
• NEW GENERATION COLLECTIVE SHOW (several brands are presented during one show)
• SELF-ORGANISED CATWALK (long term goal is to have major domestic brands organise their fashion show during BCEFW at an off-site venue)
• BCEFW SHOWCASE (catwalk shows)

IV. CRITERIA SYSTEM

CATWALK / SELF ORGANISED SHOW CRITERIA

The brand has to be,

• Ready for the international market
• Has production capacity
• Produces 2 seasonal collections per year in line with the global fashion week calendar
• Has a minimum of 15 looks (AW2425 season) collections
• Women's, men's or genderless ready-to-wear brand
• 5-10 years of business experience
• Must have min. 4-5 retailers (domestic and/or international)
• Must have at least 3-4 articles (national and/or international publications) about their collection or work
• Must have sales materials, lookbooks / campaigns for the last 3 seasons
• Active presence on social media / IG / celebrity / influencer images (if any)
• Candidate must have a website and a permanent address

BCEFW SHOWCASE CRITERIA

• Major brand with a track record of domestic success
• Has production capacity
• Produces 1 collection per year in line with the global fashion week calendar
• Has a minimum of 10-15 looks collections
• Women's, men's or genderless ready-to-wear brand
• 2 years of business experience
• Must show min. 3-4 articles (national) about your collection and work
• Active presence on social media
• Candidate must have a website and a permanent address
• Hungarian citizenship

NEW GENERATION CRITERIA

• A brand that is about to enter the international market
• Recognized emerging brand in its home country
• Have a collection of at least 5-10 looks
• Have a portfolio, CV, cover letter, IG

V. SERVICES PROVIDED BY BCEFW

CATWALK SHOW

• Provision of venue with layout according to the concept
• Provision of custom hair and make-up for models provided by the agency
• Provision of models (in addition, if a model is required, the designer will provide his/her own)
• Provision of registration system
• Provision of photographic and video material
• Provision of PR and marketing activities
• Securing the presence of international and regional experts, press and influencers
• Provision of basic lighting, sound and music

BCEFW SHOWCASE

• Provision of venue with layout according to concept
• Provision of custom hair and make-up for models provided by the agency
• Provision of models (in addition, if a model is required, the designer will provide it himself)
• Provision of registration system
• Provision of photographic and video material
• Provision of PR and marketing activities
• Provision of basic lighting, sound and music

NEW GENERATION COLLECTIVE SHOW

• Providing a venue with a layout that fits the concept
• Providing uniform hair and make-up for models provided by the agency
• Provision of models (in addition, if a model is required, the designer will provide his/her own)
• Provision of registration system
• Provision of photographic and video material
• Provision of PR and marketing activities
• Securing the presence of international and regional experts, press and influencers
• Provision of basic lighting, sound and music

SELF-ORGANISED SHOW

• Providing PR and marketing activities
• securing international and regional media, opinion leaders
• securing buyers
• celebrities
• the timing and concept of the show is a matter of prior mandatory consultation with the organisers

* all other necessary elements are provided by the brand

COLLECTIVE SERVICE

• 10-20 potential buyers
• international and regional media, opinion leaders
• sales activities

VI. APPLICATION MATERIALS

All materials must be submitted in English.

Materials to be submitted by the designer:

Brand details must include:

• Introduction of the designer(s) and the team
• Brand description
• Contact persons’ contact information: designer(s), sales and press contact
• Links for the website and social platforms (IG, Facebook, TikTok etc.)
• Address(es) of sales venues
• The preferred showcase category of the brand. (The final showcase categories are assigned by the Advisory Board)

Collection details must include:

• AW2324 and SS24 collection campaign and lookbook photos, number of looks
• Description of AW2324 and SS24 collections
• Description of AW2425 collection, moodboard or photos
• Min and max number of looks that the designer can provide for the event (AW2425)

VII. DESIGNER FEES:

The application is free of charge. The designer fee is due after the Advisory Board's selection for the participating brands.

CATWALK & BCEFW SHOWCASE: 200 000 HUF (approx. 500 EUR) + VAT

SELF-ORGANISED SHOW: Free of charge*

NEW GENERATION COLLECTIVE SHOW: Free of charge

(Invoicing is issued in Hungarian Forints and calculated at the daily central rate.)

* all other necessary elements are provided by the brand

VIII. APPLICATION FOR PRESS ACCREDITATION:

Shows on Saturday and Sunday can be visited with granted press accreditation. When applying as press, please ensure that the following information is included in the application form:

• Your full name, email address, and telephone number
• Your media/magazine (company) and your job title
• Preferred dates of attendance (select the appropriate box)
• Desired shows from the schedule you wish to attend (please list their names in the notes section)
• Designers you would like to interview (please list their names in the notes section)

You will get an email from us once your application is received. This can take 1-2 working days usually due to high application numbers.
