THE DESIGNER
Martin Kaluža is a Slovenian fashion designer currently based in Ljubljana. He studied fashion design at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, where he began developing a distinctive aesthetic rooted in subcultural influences.
His debut collection, Monoliti, was presented at Ljubljana Fashion Week 2024 and draws inspiration from brutalist architecture and the hypnotic energy of techno music. Before launching his own line, Martin designed costumes for the drag competition Majska Kraljica (2023 & 2024), which sharpened his sense of performance and identity.
He was a finalist at the STYLO 2021 fashion show and contributed styling for a national TV commercial for OTP Bank (2024). His work has appeared in several exhibitions, including Urban Weave (Small Gallery of the Bank of Slovenia, 2020) and the BIEN Textile Biennial in Kranj (2020, 2021).
Martin collaborates with fashion photographer Petja Muck and Lahira (Lara Muck), a 3D jewelry designer, with whom he explores new forms of interdisciplinary expression.

THE COLLECTION
Martin Kaluža is a Slovenian fashion designer whose work merges subcultural influences with a refined sense of rebellion and sensuality. Originally from the coastal town of Izola and now based in Ljubljana, he explores the intersection of techno culture, identity, and transformation through a dark yet poetic visual language.
His design philosophy balances softness and rigidity, sexiness and power, darkness and elegance. Deeply rooted in the rhythm of techno and the atmosphere of underground culture, Kaluža’s creations embody both emotional intensity and quiet resilience.
His latest collection, Apocalyptic Afterparty, envisions a world reborn from ruins - where strength and hope rise from collapse. It portrays powerful figures who choose to dance and celebrate rather than surrender to despair. The pieces juxtapose hard and soft elements: exoskeleton-inspired forms and metallic details merge with fluid, draped fabrics that evoke the movement of desert winds. The use of rust-dyeing adds a tactile sense of decay and renewal, infusing each garment with its own story and memory.
Developed in collaboration with 3D jewelry designer Lara Muck (Lahiro), the collection reflects themes of survival, transformation, and resistance, as well as the fierce energy of new beginnings.
