THE DESIGNER
Anja Medle (1995) is a Slovenian fashion and textile designer based in Ljubljana. She holds a Master’s degree in Textile and Fashion Design from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. Born in Novo Mesto, she graduated in 2018 and completed her master’s studies in 2021.
Her design language is bold, artistic, and expressive, often drawing inspiration from past decades – particularly the 1980s – which she translates into modern, precisely tailored silhouettes with playful and distinctive elements. As a designer, she specializes in the creation of her own materials and the development of original textile patterns. Her collections are known for their vibrant color palettes, unique textures, and strong visual narratives. Anja places great emphasis not only on the design of garments, but also on their styling and visual presentation. She often acts as both designer and creative director, building complete fashion stories through editorial concepts, lookbooks, and visual campaigns. Her work bridges fashion design, costume, and visual art.
Since 2016, she has worked independently, creating clothing collections, textile prints, and accessories for individual clients, companies, and creative collaborators in Slovenia and internationally. She has designed costumes for musicians, music videos, stage performances, and fashion shows, and often collaborates with renowned Slovenian designers and costume designers such as Peter Movrin and Metod Črešnar on theatre and music productions.
Her visual concepts have been featured in both Slovenian and international publications, including Elle, Gloss, Kaltblut, En Vie, Grazia, and Volition. She has collaborated with respected Slovenian photographers such as Mimi Antolovič, Urška Pečnik, and Mario Zupanov.
Throughout her career, Anja has participated in numerous exhibitions, fashion shows, and competitions. She regularly presents her collections at Ljubljana Fashion Week and has been selected multiple times as a finalist and award recipient in various national and international fashion competitions. Her work has been recognized for its originality, craftsmanship, and strong artistic vision.

THE BRAND

The silhouettes of the brand draw strong inspiration from the 1980s. Structured shoulders and powerful tailoring form the backbone of Medle’s visual identity. Yet this strength is always balanced by an emphasis on the female body, sensuality, and attraction - expressed through draped fabrics and body-hugging bodysuits that celebrate the curves and confidence of a woman. It opens gently with the scent of a “bathrobe” – soft and comforting – blended with the sparkling fizz of champagne and draped velvet curtains, slightly scorched by the heat of stage lights.
At its heart, the fragrance speaks of power – amber, sandalwood, and the powdery sweetness of dressing-room makeup.
