THE DESIGNER
Péter Merő is a self-taught fashion designer. Thanks to his discipline and dedication, he was able to instigate a following in both the Hungarian and international market.
As a ballet dancer, Péter lived in Berlin for 10 years. He found his true calling during his years working at the Friedrichstadt-Palast theatre where his passion was brought to life in the theatre’s sewing room. It was here that he could witness the tricks and craft of the profession firsthand and learn about the profession. The handmade couture pieces had a big impact on the brand that he later dreamed up with his twin sister, Bianka Merő.
The birth of the MERO brand dates back to 2014, when its first showroom opened in Hungary.

MERO deliberately lets go of following trends. They believe in classic and lasting pieces, yet often spice up the silhouettes with an extravagant, powerfully dramatic touch.

Emphasizing the waist area as well as the use of belts are becoming the trademark of their collections, making the brand easily recognizable.
The pieces in each collection are available in limited runs, further emphasizing MERO’s unique and unrepeatable spirit.
The creations have been worn by celebrities including Pamela Anderson and Nastassja Kinski, and pieces of the MERO collection have already appeared on the red carpet at the Oscar Academy Awards, the Berlinale as well as both the Cannes Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
THE COLLECTION
MERO's fall/winter collection was inspired by the stunningly colorful portraits of Hollywood stars of the 1940s. The vibrant color palette of Kodachrome film is revived on classic MERO silhouettes. Our collection is a blush-filled sensual vision promising eternal youth.
