THE DESIGNER
Nikoletta Rácz is currently a fashion MA student at Budapest Metropolitan University. Fashion design has been a childhood dream for the designer — one that has since become a consciously chosen profession. The designer firmly believes that everyone finds their own path in life, and it is becoming increasingly clear that theirs leads to the world of fashion.
Within the designer's own brand, emotional design takes a central role, as the foundation of the work lies in memories, cultural heritage, and the preservation of family bonds. The designer believes that personal stories and our past shape who we are — and aims to express this through garments by preserving and reinterpreting the points of connection that define us.
The experiences and successes gained from previous projects continue to affirm that the designer is on the right path. There have already been opportunities for magazine features and participation in both national and international competitions, with awarded placements. These forms of recognition provide strong motivation for further growth and for using creativity in ways that generate value within the fashion industry.
THE BRAND
The NIKOLETTA RACZ brand is defined by emotional design — at the core of the designer’s work are memories, emotions, and personal stories. During the design process, the designer often draws inspiration from personal memories, believing this is the most authentic way to connect with others through the language of fashion. One of the main goals of the brand is to highlight feminine beauty in a refined yet distinctive form.
THE COLLECTION
SS26 – “Remember” Collection
For the designer, emotional design has always been essential — the belief is that it allows the creation of truly personal and honest pieces that reflect who the designer is and what they represent. The latest collection, SS26 "Remember", draws inspiration from generations of the designer’s family wedding memories and photographs.
The goal was to process this personal background in a way that the collection remains modern, wearable, and relevant in today’s fashion — where emotional depth isn’t immediately obvious, yet subtly appears in the details. The color palette of the collection is defined by black and white — a contrast that evokes the designer’s mother’s white wedding dress and father’s black suit. This personal symbolism shapes the overall mood of the collection: a delicate balance of remembrance, togetherness, and elegance characterizes the pieces.
One of the key technical features of the collection is the use of cut-out shapes derived from original photographs. Lace also plays a prominent role, sourced from leftover Daalarna materials — appearing both as a textile and as a design motif. For the patterns, monotype printing was used: hand-made prints were digitized to create unique surface designs, giving new life to the lace and transferring a sense of "wedding sentiment" into everyday garments.
The “Remember” collection includes both formal and casual pieces.
