NUBU

THE DESIGNERS

The essence of the brand lies in its manufactural value. The NUBU brand’s sample collections are designed by Judit Garam and her creative team of eight. As committed advocates of slow fashion, the pieces in each collection are produced with local and European manufacturing backgrounds.

Sustainable design thinking is of key importance to us. Recycled and dead stock materials form an organic part of the collections, from which we create our limited-edition, unique, and timeless pieces. It is our mission to create a brand that, alongside wearability and functionality, is complemented by strong conceptual elements.

From Autumn 2024, alongside Judit Garam, Liza Borcsik has also taken on a role in the design process as design assistant. Liza has shown serious interest in the NUBU brand since the age of 13. She built her studies accordingly and graduated in 2024 as a textile designer from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

In our collaborative design work, we continue to place strong emphasis not only on artistic inspiration, but also on thoughtfully developed and uniquely constructed tailoring, which always suggests aesthetic harmony—in line with Zen philosophy.

THE BRAND

NUBU creates its timeless, highly versatile, and long-lasting pieces by harmonizing refined, modern, minimalist design with distinctive tailoring, comfort, and functionality. The designers’ sense of style, willingness to experiment, and commitment to innovation are strongly reflected in the collections, which feature contemporary urban elements, understated elegance, and a restrained color palette.

In continuous dialogue with the art world, NUBU draws inspiration from contemporary design, fine arts, and sculpture—an influence that goes beyond the garments themselves and takes shape in special projects as well.

The secret to NUBU’s success lies in its intangible yet unmistakable character, which celebrates personality, functionality, and artistic freedom.

THE COLLECTION

The NUBU SS26 collection is inspired by the work of Anna Peter Breton, a Paris-based visual artist of Hungarian-Kyrgyz origin. At the center of her art are Kyrgyz landscapes, which she portrays using a blurred, watercolor-like technique. The base structure of the collection is defined by the color palette used by the artist and the organic forms reminiscent of the natural scenery.

Both hand-painted and digital prints appear on the garments, while mountain-inspired shapes are reflected not only in the details but also in the overall volume of the pieces.
