THE DESIGNER
Silvia Berecká is a fashion designer based in the Netherlands,
whose work centers on experimental knitwear and material exploration.
Drawing from themes of hedonism and aesthetic excess,
she investigates distortion, texture, and color through both domestic and industrial knitting processes.
Her practice treats knit as an expressive medium,
pushing garments beyond function toward a sensorial experience.
She works extensively with reclaimed and secondhand materials,
integrating high-craft elements such as weaving, crochet, embroidery, and beading
to create expressive, materially driven garments that blur the line between surface, silhouette, and object.
