THE DESIGNER
Nina Nemes, born in Budapest and currently living in Vienna, is the founder and designer of the brand winna, launched in 2024. She acquired the academic foundation for her creative work at the University of Applied Arts, in the TransArts course in Vienna. As an artist with a passion for hybrid solutions, a structured yet creative environment is important for her design development. Her practice embodies the combination of creativity and sustainability. With a clear focus on upcycling and craftsmanship, she uses innovative techniques to reinterpret existing materials and transform them into contemporary designs. Nina Nemes had the opportunity to work on an international contemporary art project as part of the Austrian Ministry of Art and Culture's Startstipendium. She has also participated in the Vienna Business Agency's Innovative Projects Start-Up Grant and Founders Lab with her innovative upcycled fashion concept. As a multidisciplinary artist, she is drawn to the crossovers in her research and work. winna is a laboratory for exploring the intersections of design, fashion, and contemporary art.
THE BRAND
Nothing is wasted, nothing is produced, everything is upgraded: winna. The multidisciplinary Viennese label winna creates sustainable fashion and handmade design objects. The focus is on reusing and upgrading existing materials, which are transformed into new and long-lasting unique pieces through a creative upcycling process.
In the vision of artist and founder Nina Nemes, winna stands for individualism, inclusion, and innovation – values that also define the fashion collection currently being created: uniform catalysis, which focuses on the cohesion of women and the metamorphosis of clothing. The collection emphasizes high-quality test and deadstock fabrics, ensuring sustainability and uniqueness. The garments have a raw, unpolished finish, conveying a sense of pride and strength. They are sweaty, scratchy, evoking struggle and grit, paired with strong, defined lines that embody resilience and poise.

Uniform catalysis is a debut collection that deaws from the liminal space between emergence and conceaeng, where the seen and unseen coexist. This collection is an ode to structure and form, an exploration of hidden talent on the verge of being revealed. The designs reflect a state of becoming, shaped by restraint yet imbued with a restless, transformative energy.
Inspired by a Nova Nova song from the early 2000s, this collection evokes the idea of a blank canvas kn which metamorphosis unfolds.
